Marrakesh to host the World Congress of Women Entrepreneurs

Marrakesh, the Red walled Moroccan city, will hold for the second time the 61st edition of the World Congress of Women Entrepreneurs from 25 to 29 September 2013.
The FCEM (Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales) congress is organized by the Moroccan Association of Women Entrepreneurs known as the (AFEM) under the theme “Women Entrepreneurs: Guaranteed values for a Sustainable Performance.”
Talking about this international congregation, Laura Frati Gucci, the FCEM president said “This venue will give more visibility to the stakeholders and more particularly to women entrepreneurs in this new economic dynamics”.
This year’s edition is intended to shed light on the fundamental role played by women entrepreneurs in leadership and sustainable performance, as well as the mechanisms available for businesswomen to contribute effectively to the socio-economic development of their societies.
The Congress will receive many participants from all over the globe, including decision makers, economic stakeholders and researchers.
More than 800 participants from 70 countries are expected to take part to this event. “It is an opportunity for exceptional women who have left their mark on the economic, political and social landscape in their respective countries to meet and exchange their experiences, their professional achievements, to share best practices in governance and to develop networking and business opportunities,” said Mrs. Laila Myara, the AFEM president.
During five days, a number of meetings, plenary sessions will be scheduled, as well as workshops and round tables to debate women’s role in sustainable performance, their values for professional success, societal responsibilities and other interesting topics.
The FCEM is a powerful network at the service of women’s entrepreneurship. For 61 years, the association has been working in joint cooperation with the other national associations members of the network with a very strong passion and desire towards women’s empowerment and sustainable development around the world.
